Congrats to Fjell Thyngor on advancing to the Wacken Metal Battle Canada National Final! We know you will do Calgary proud! It was a close race on Friday as Osyron, SYRYN, and Caveat all played awesome sets! Thank you to them and all the bands that played throughout the battles; DETHGOD, Path to Extinction, SICKS, Balrogath, Burning Effigy, Subsume, Hyperia, Red Cain, Vexerity, After The Prophet, FALSE FLAG, In/Vertigo, and our guest headliners Hammerdrone! Thanks to the judges for taking on the difficult task of judging art, we know that isn’t easy! Thank you to Dickens for hosting the shows, Absolute Underground TV Magazine for running our ads, and most of all to the fans that came out on the wintry Wednesdays for the preliminaries, and for the great turnout on Friday! It’s wonderful to see such amazing support for our underground metal scene!!

 

We will be announcing the May 25th Wacken Metal Battle Canada National Final tomorrow, which will include a killer guest headliner, so stay tuned!!
